Looking for the perfect gift to bring to an engagement party? This champagne floral arrangement is a showstopper! This is not your typical gift; everyone will be in love with this creative wine and floral presentation. Start with buying your flowers picking out a variety of seasonal blooms and greens in your choice of color pallet, next get your favorite champagne or wine.
At your local craft store or even Amazon you can find wet floral foam bricks. Standard size is 9” long. Let naturally submerge in a bucket of fresh water and floral food for 10 minutes as we don’t want to oversaturate the foam.
Cut the floral foam in half with a sharp knife.
Gently center on top of champagne bottle and push down to the middle of floral brick careful to not push all the way through.
Using a sharp pair of scissors or a floral knife cut flowers and start poking them into floral foam. It’s important to have nice sharp clean-cut steams to pierce the foam. Again, do not go all the way through the floral brick. You don’t want to compromise the integrity of the foam. Try to strategically place stems on first try as to not create to many holes.
The best approach is to first focus on covering the floral foam and getting your desired shape. Here we used Hydrangea as it has a large surface area that allows for maximum coverage of our floral foam, simultaneously we worked to develop a structured shape for a nice base.
We then began to add our greens( Italian ruscus and gunni eucalyptus) continuing to expand our shape. The next step is to place your focal flowers, here we used a variety of garden roses and butterfly ranunculus the focal flowers are the star of the show, so they deserve a prominent place in your arrangement.
Lastly step back and check your shape and continue to refine your desired look. When you are finished and happy with your design spritz with water and keep in a cool place. You can add ribbon or even wrap in cellophane!
The lucky recipient is sure to be thrilled with this elegant and imaginative gift!
