Personals are florals that are held or worn on your special day by yourself, bridal party, and family. These are my favorite florals as they highlight your wedding style and are with you and your wedding party all day. Here is a guide to help you decide what personals you will need.
Bride and bridesmaids
Bouquets: Bouquets are traditionally carried by the bride and bridesmaids. Bridal bouquets are larger and more intricate, they typically include special accents to stand out. Bridesmaids’ bouquets should accent their dress color, theme of wedding and designed to complement bridal bouquet. In your package at Villa de Amore, you can have up to 5 Bridesmaids bouquets. If you have more – no need to worry! You can add additional bouquets or transfer floral credit from another floral area-this goes for any personals.
Groom and Groomsmen
Boutonnieres: Boutonnieres are usually worn by Groom and Groomsmen and are pinned on the left lapel of the suit jacket. Additional boutonnieres are ideal for Dads, ring bearer, officiant, or any family members that you’d like recognized.
Family-
Corsages- Corsages can be worn on the wrist or pinned on a dress like a boutonniere. Corsages are great for Moms and might be considered for Grandmothers, Sisters, Aunts, Sponsors and again anyone you’d like to feel recognized.
Posies are an alternative for corsages or for Junior Bridesmaids. Posies are very small bouquet of flowers. These are great for
pre-teens or special women walking down the aisles that are not a part of the direct wedding party.
Flower Girls
If you are having a flower girl, we supply petals for her to toss while walking down the aisle. Additional florals like a flower girl crown could also be considered. They are the cutest touch-look how adorable these little flower girls are!
Some other examples of additional personals-
-Small posy to be placed on a chair in memory of a loved one that has passed.
-Flower crown for bride
-Collars for dogs that are in ceremony
-Flowers for hair
Deciding what personals, you want is an important step. They are the floral focus on your wedding day. Remember that personals are for Bride, Groom, wedding party and anyone you want to feel special or recognized. Keep in mind we can also add special accents, cherished mementos, or remembrance photos to your bouquets to keep close to you when you say I DO!
Questions to consider for personals before floral consultation.
How many bridesmaids are you having in your wedding party?
How many Groomsmen are you having in your wedding party?
Do you have any family members that would want corsages? If so wrist or pin?
Who else besides wedding party do I want to have a boutonniere?
Do I have any special requests or additional personals that I might want?
I hope this helps clarify who needs flowers for your wedding day and we look forward to building all your beautiful floral personals!
